Player Code of Conduct
Respect: Players at Titans Football Academy are expected to treat coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials with respect and fairness, regardless of differences.
Sportsmanship: We emphasise good sportsmanship both on and off the field, expecting players to show honesty, integrity, and humility in victory and defeat.
Commitment: Players are required to attend practices, matches, and events regularly, giving their best effort in training and competitions.
Discipline: Following the academy’s rules and regulations is essential, and players are encouraged to show self-discipline and self-control at all times.
Positive Attitude: Maintaining a positive attitude, encouraging teammates, and embracing learning opportunities provided by the academy is crucial.
Communication: Players should communicate openly and respectfully with coaches and fellow players, seeking clarification when needed.
Parent Code of Conduct
Supportive Environment: Parents and guardians are encouraged to create a supportive and positive environment for their child, fostering their development and enjoyment of the sport.
Respect: Parents should show respect for coaches, officials, and other parents and encourage their child to do the same.
Communication: Maintaining open and respectful communication with coaches and academy staff is important, and concerns should be addressed through appropriate channels.
Spectator Behaviour: Parents are expected to be positive and respectful spectators during matches, refraining from negative comments or disruptive behaviour.
Player Independence: Parents should allow their child to take ownership of their football experience, including their training and interactions with coaches.
Facility and Equipment: Showing respect for academy property, facilities, and equipment is essential, and any damage or misuse should be reported promptly.
Coaches, Team Managers and Club Officials
Coaches all bear a collective responsibility to set a good example and help provide a positive environment in which children can learn and enjoy the game.
On and off the field coaches will:
● Use their position to set a positive example for the young people they are responsible for
● Show respect to others involved in the game including match officials, opposition players, coaches, managers, officials and spectators
● Adhere to the laws and spirit of the game
● Promote fair Play and high standards of behaviour
● Respect the match official’s decision
● Never enter the field of play without the referee’s permission
● Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
● Be gracious in victory and defeat.
When working with players coaches will:
● Place the well-being, safety and enjoyment of each player above everything, including winning
● Never engage in or tolerate any form of bullying
● Encourage each player to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance
● Ensure all activities organised are appropriate for the players’ ability level, age and maturity
● Cooperate fully with others in football (e.g. officials, welfare officers) for each player’s best interest
Consequences for Violations
Failure to adhere to the code of conduct could result in warnings, suspensions or other disciplinary actions decided by the academy.
At Titans we expect all members to adhere to our policies and show each other the utmost respect within each session, match and during any other meeting. Thank you for following our policies.
